Travelling by Rail
Waverley Railway Station is Edinburgh's major rail terminus, with services throughout Scotland (via First Scotrail) and the rest of the UK (via East Coast and Cross Country).
ERI's offices are a 10 minute drive by taxi from the taxi rank within the station (next to Platform 11).
Alternatively, if you want to stretch your legs after your rail journey, EI offices are just a 15 minute walk away.
Leave the station via the exit ramp either side of the main concourse and turn left on Waverley Bridge. At the mini-roundabout, go straight over and up Cockburn Street. At the top of Cockburn Street, cross over the Royal Mile (High Street) and turn right into South Bridge at the traffic lights. Travelling by Air
Edinburgh Airport (to the west of the city) is well served by regular routes to/from airports throughout the UK and Europe, with connecting flights enabling access from all over the world.
We would recommend a taxi to bring you directly to EI offices. There are a number of taxis available to hire from the just outside the airport terminal.
Alternatively, there is a regular express Airlink bus service (100) which will bring you right into the city centre, stopping outside Waverley Station on Waverley Bridge, just outside the Waverley Railway Station.
For more information about travelling into the city centre from the airport, visit the Edinburgh Airport website .

Take the next turning on your right into Drummond Street and follow the local directions to EI offices.

At the next roundabout (Sheriffhall Roundabout), take the third turning and continue on the City Bypass - West (A720) until you reach the exit signposted "Straiton Junction". Take this exit and follow the directions towards the city centre (A701).
From the West
From the M8 motorway, continue to the end of the motorway to you come to a large roundabout (Hermiston Gait junction). At the roundabout, take the third exit signposted "City Bypass" (A720).
